Where do the stones come from?
Each stone is hand picked for color, texture, and inspected for quality. Our
stones and rocks are primarily obtained from riverbeds and other locations
throughout the southeast. We do not gather stones from state or federal parks
and our stones are not mass-produced in a factory. We are a family owned
business that prides itself in quality.
Can I choose my own stone?
We do offer a color choice of red or white but unfortunately, you cannot pick your own stone. Stones come in many different
shapes, sizes and coloring. Your stone may be rounder, flatter, a lighter or
darker coloring, etc. If you have a vital need for your stone to be a certain
shape or color, please specify this in your order so that we can attempt to
better match the stone selected for your stone project.

What is the process used to
engrave the stones?
The artisans at StoneScript are detail oriented and meticulous about the process
of engraving each stone. The meticulous process starts with design and
measurement. Selection of the stone for the project is next. Then, using
sandblasting techniques the message and/or designs are deeply carved into the
stone. The stone is then painted and sealed for protection.
Will the lettering on
the stones fade?
The lettering is permanently sandblasted into the stone. We then use a
high-grade exterior paint that will not fade and should last for years to come.
We use Black paint because it is the easiest to see and read. We also seal all
of our stones with a special sealant to add additional protection from harsh
weathering. If you choose to leave the stone unpainted (natural) then the ease
of reading or seeing the design on any stone will partially depend on the
particular stone's coloring and the lighting angles of that particular stone.
How will you ship my order?
We
provide FREE delivery to Cobb, Dekalb, Fulton, & Gwinnett counties.
Otherwise we
ship all orders via UPS Ground, unless other arrangements are made. We ship
anywhere in the continental USA.
How long will it take
to get my stone?
Please allow 10 - 14 days for delivery and shop early for the holidays to ensure
your delivery. Our artisans work very hard to keep our customers satisfied so
we will work with you if you have an order that you need rushed. Any rush
charges, if applicable, will be determined on a case by case basis.
What is your
return policy?
We
want you to be completely satisfied. To help ensure this, you will receive an
email like
this with the layout of the artwork before engraving begins. Once a layout is
approved, we will proceed with your order. This process has been very
successful, but if a mistake is made on our part we will correct it at no
additional cost to you.
